The Vampire's Bride - Gena Showalter for some reason it was difficult for me to engage w/this book and it took reading another book and then starting it again before I was able to stay focused and connect. I was really hoping for a different story for Layel that focused more on his growth through heartache. I felt like instead of working through his struggles he just switched his view on two thousand years worth of pain and revenge with little explanation/exploration. The survivor scenerio did not bother me too much-I found the interaction with the different Atlantis creatures hilarious. I enjoyed the interactions of Layel and Delilah and the secondary characters in the book. Although I think Alyssa should have had her own book.
