Alix Gerran was born a slave and used by her father for work and the crew for entertainment. When her father dies she is forced by a villian out for revenge to bring down Devyn Kell. She is torn between saving her family and betraying the man that she has come to trust. Devyn is the typical hero loyal, fierce, softie, hottie, helping innocent people whatever the cost. Devyn is use to being an outlaw and going against the ruling politics to help those in need-so he is more than ready to step up for Alix. I liked how the secondary characters played into the story of the heroine and hero. They contributed to some of the humerous moments in the story.
